Celebration

The balloons have floated away, the cake is now crumbs, and the guests have all gone home...but oh the memories. We had a fabulous time at Jamison's first birthday party. Falling in line with our usual party throwing tradition Andy and I were running and sweating and finishing up until the very last minute.

Jamison's first birthday, it was a grand affair! Lots of family, and plenty of children came out to help us celebrate.

There was just enough food, just enough drinks

....and an overabundance of laughter.

And one of the best things? The weather was perfect for the entire party, in spite of the forecast predicting rain early afternoon. The kids got to go out and play on the playset that Andy had been working and toiling over (minus the fun tube slide that couldn't be installed due to some missing parts). The furniture on the front porch gave seating to those who spilled out the front door. Honestly I had forgotten about the porch furniture, but it was a pleasant surprise to see that our guests made themselves comfortable.

Now to the birthday boy, he was perfect.

He was in a great mood the whole party. He was surrounded lots of beautiful young cousins. He gave lots of smiles and boy did he live up to everyones expectations when it was cake time. You'd think he took classes on how to give a great show when eating your first birthday cake.
He had it in his fingers, his hair and then dazzled the crowd with his no hands approach. It was great.

We had crafts and activities to keep everyone busy. He had some beautiful cards made for him for his future birthdays and the balloon launch was a big hit. Many good wishes got sent up to the heavens for him. We were blessed to have Pap-pa Larch attending his birthday as well. It really means a lot to have such love from the 90 year olds to the babies all for our Jamos.

For some, the excitement was too much to take and a little cat nap was in order.

We ended the night with a trip to Dairy Queen. Cammy and Jamos dressed in their PJs and asleep before we made it back home....just as mommy and daddy hoped. It was a fabulous day. Happy Birthday Jamos! Here's to a lifetime of great birthdays to come. Blessings.

Oh Von I can't believe how big he is! Or Camden either!! Tegan always asks about Camden. I keep telling him that we'll see him sometime soon but I think he's just about given up hope. The party looked so cute and it looked like everyone had a good time. Who could ask for more?? I love you guys.
