Going Green?

Today on our way home from a birthday party Camden was in dire need...to poop. The whole way home kept threatening that he was about to poop and that his dad needed to put the car in hyper speed, super fast mode, etc.

I tried to distract him with conversation to get his mind off of this urgent task. I'm glad to report that we made it home in time. However as we turned onto our street the following conversation made me laugh...

Camden: "Dad, is it littering if I poop on the street?"
Daddy: "What if it is littering? Is that bad?"
Camden: "Yes. We'd have to come back out at midnight and get it."

That's my little guy doing his part to keep our planet clean...

I'm not quite sure if this fits into the "Going Green" movement, but I think he's on the right track...

Evening Tea

My new favorite thing is tea. Tea in the morning, tea in the afternoon, and tea in the evening. It's not just simple Earl Grey. It's pricey Teavana tea. Matevana to be more specific. Described as ...

A deliciously smooth herbal tea that is perfect for coffee lovers.

I would classify myself as a coffee LOVER but I like it well enough with a touch of French Vanilla cream and sugar. I've been taking my tea the same delectable way. Matevana has all kinds of little yummies in it to make it fabulous including little pieces of CHOCOLAT (try pronouncing it like the title of that Johnny Depp Juliette Binoche movie in which the woman owns a Patisserie).

Anyway, it's my new guilty pleasure and I thought I'd share the news. I'm off to bed now. Matevana dreams!

The Backup Plan

We were driving down the road on Sunday evening when I looked into the back seat of the car and saw my five year old with his thumb in his nose. Our dysfunctional conversation went something like this...

Mommy: Camden, get your thumb out of your nose. You're supposed to use a tissue!

Camden: This is plan B.

Mommy: What's plan A?

Camden: Plan A is use a tissue, Plan B is pick your nose, Plan C is take a piece
of apple and use it to pick your nose. (huh?)

Mommy: (Hands him a tissue)

Camden: I just need to see if I can feel something up there (inserts bare finger
into nose tissue)

Camden: Yep, there's something up there!

I imagine you're probably questioning my parenting, so let me be clear for the record:

1. I fully support Plan A.
2. I totally believe Plan B is gross but inevitable for a certain short period of a child's life.
3. I must admit I'm actually a little strangely curious to see Plan C in action...

...anyone curious to see what Plan D could be?

...frightening

It's been such a long, long time

Oh my dear blogger, how I've missed you. I'd like to say that I've been hanging out on my favorite green adirondack chairs enjoying fried chicken, apple pie and fresh made lemonade but alas it's only a facade. In addition to creating my relaxing little porch display I have been busy. Doing what you might wonder...

Well I'll tell you...I've been busy chasing little boys in rain boots on sunny days...

Catching elusive toddlers zippin down slides

Enjoying a bowl black raspberries picked on our farm with my boys

I even got a bowl of my very own...

Wait...what's that?

Let's do a close up, shall we....

Yuck, that's enough for me...

Anyway blogger, I just wanted to stop by and say hello. It's been way too long. Actually, this has been fun and we really should do this more often...

Please don't give up on me...
